Quick note: Warid Telecom merged into Jazz in 2016, so every Warid SIM is now a Jazz SIM. The details below still work exactly the same; if you are looking for something current, the linked Jazz guides are kept fully up to date.

What happened to the Warid 500 free minutes and SMS offer?
The Muft Hafta style promotion described above rewarded selected Warid and Glow users with free on net minutes and SMS, linked to earlier usage and to SIM activity dates from that period. Those eligibility windows closed many years ago. After Warid merged into Jazz in 2016, Warid promotions were replaced by Jazz offers. This reward is no longer running, and calling the old number to claim it will not add free minutes to a current account.
The details matter because the headline was easy to misread. It was not simply a flat gift of the same minutes to every customer at any time. The terms tied the reward to usage over previous weeks and to specific dates. Keeping those terms visible helps explain old balance histories and stops readers wasting time on a claim process that no longer exists.
What you get today instead
Today the reliable way to get calling minutes is to buy a bundle with the allowance included. Weekly hybrid bundles suit most prepaid users because they mix on net minutes, some off net minutes, SMS and data in one purchase. The live choices are collected in the Jazz call packages guide, so you can check current prices before loading balance.
If you receive a promotional message on your number, read it in the Jazz World app before acting on it. Genuine offers appear in official channels, and the app also manages your subscriptions so you can see expiry dates clearly. Be wary of messages promising free minutes for forwarding a text or dialling an unfamiliar code. Networks do run seasonal promotions, but they do not need you to share a code with contacts to claim a standard bundle.
If you still use an old Warid SIM
Your Warid SIM is now a Jazz SIM and your number is a Jazz number. Recharge it as Jazz and buy current Jazz bundles. If the SIM has been unused for a very long time, first check that it still registers on the network and that it is registered in your name. A Jazz service centre can help if it does not.
Dial *111# to check balance and *117# to check remaining bundle usage. The Jazz helpline is 111 if you need account help. For everyday bundle buying, the Jazz World app is easier than memorising codes, especially because it shows what you already have active before you spend more.
Common questions
Can I still claim the 500 free minutes?
No. The eligibility dates for that Warid promotion passed years ago.
Why do old posts still show the offer?
Because people keep searching for it. This page explains what it was and points you to bundles you can actually buy now.
How do I avoid running out of minutes mid week?
Check usage on *117# every few days. If you regularly run short, move to a larger weekly or monthly bundle rather than topping up with small extras.
If you share your phone with family members, tell them when a new bundle starts and when it ends. Many wasted minutes come from long calls made on the first day, leaving nothing for the rest of the week. A quick check on *117# before handing the phone over keeps expectations clear.
