What happened to the Karachi Offer

The offer above is the original Warid Karachi Offer. For a small daily charge, Karachi based Warid users got unlimited Warid calls for the day plus a small SMS and data allowance. It was region based, so your location mattered when you subscribed, and it renewed daily while balance allowed.

That city specific Warid offer is no longer sold. Warid merged into Jazz in 2016 and regional Warid packs were replaced by nationwide Jazz bundles. The KAR SMS to 4337 does not activate a current Jazz bundle. Your Karachi Warid number simply became a Jazz number and now uses Jazz tariffs and Jazz bundles. We keep the table as a record of the old deal, not as a live subscription method.

What you get today instead

If you used the Karachi Offer for all day calls in the city, a Jazz weekly bundle is the practical replacement. Weekly hybrid bundles give you on net minutes, other network minutes, SMS and data together, so you are not limited to one city. Compare what is currently live in today’s Jazz call packages and match it to how much you actually call other networks. Jazz on net minutes work for old Warid numbers too because they are Jazz numbers after the merger.

Simple checks still help. *111# is balance, *117# shows remaining minutes and MBs, and 111 is support. The Jazz World app is clearer than USSD if you want to see the expiry date and auto renewal status of a bundle you just bought.

If you still use an old Warid SIM

Keep the same SIM and recharge it with Jazz load anywhere in Karachi. All new offers will be Jazz offers shown in Jazz World. Location based Warid restrictions no longer apply, Jazz bundles work nationwide unless a specific bundle says otherwise. If you kept the SIM only for cheap Karachi calls, check the app once and pick a weekly bundle that fits, it is usually better value than paying the standard rate call by call.

Questions people still ask

Can I still send KAR to 4337? No. That was the subscription code for the retired Warid Karachi Offer. Current bundles are bought through Jazz World, USSD codes shown in the app, or Jazz retailers.

Do I need a Karachi Jazz SIM for Jazz bundles? No. Jazz bundles are not city locked the way this old Warid offer was. Any Jazz number, including an old Karachi Warid number, can use them.

Is my Warid Karachi number now a Jazz number? Yes. Since the 2016 merger it is treated as a Jazz number for recharge, bundles and on net calling.

A quick way to decide today

Karachi users who loved unlimited on net calls often overbuy data they do not use. Look at Jazz World usage for the last two weeks. If calls dominate and data is mostly WiFi at home and office, choose a calls heavy weekly bundle and keep data small. If you commute across the city and use maps and WhatsApp on mobile data, balance minutes and MBs evenly. The old Karachi Offer forced one fixed mix for everyone, Jazz bundles let you match the mix to your routine.
