What happened to the Warid Double Minutes offer?

Double Minutes was tied to Warid’s old W series postpaid plans. Customers paid an extra monthly amount to double the free on net and off net minutes included in selected plans, as the table above shows. When Warid merged into Jazz in 2016, those postpaid plans stopped being sold and the add on went with them. It cannot be added to a current account, and the old subscription SMS is kept here only so readers can see how the scheme worked.

Postpaid offers from that period are often confusing now because the plan names no longer appear on current price lists. If you found this page while checking an old bill, the rentals and plan names above are the historical reference. For anything you can buy today, you need to look at current Jazz postpaid plans rather than trying to rebuild a W series plan piece by piece.

What you get today instead

The modern equivalent is simply a Jazz postpaid plan with a larger included allowance. Instead of buying a base plan and then paying again to double it, you pick the plan level that matches your calling from the start. You can compare the current line up in the Jazz postpaid packages guide, which keeps plan prices and allowances up to date.

When comparing, count your off net calls honestly. Many people remember their on net calls because family members share a network, then get surprised by calls to other networks for work. Also look at included data, because postpaid plans now bundle minutes, SMS and internet together. The Jazz World app helps existing customers manage subscriptions and keep an eye on their account between bills.

If you still use an old Warid number

A Warid postpaid number became a Jazz number after the merger. If your account was never formally moved to a current plan, call Jazz on 111 and ask what plan you are on now and what your options are. Do not assume an old add on is still running just because the number still works.

Keep your ID card record current with the network. Postpaid changes, SIM replacement and ownership queries all depend on it. Quick service checks such as *111# and *117# can still be useful for basic information, but your bill and the Jazz World app give the complete account picture for postpaid.

Common questions

Can I double my minutes by paying extra today?
Not with this Warid add on. Choose a current Jazz postpaid plan with more included minutes instead.

Are the W series rentals still charged?
Those were historical Warid plan rentals. If you see an unfamiliar charge on a current bill, ask Jazz on 111 to explain the exact plan name behind it.

Is postpaid still worth it for heavy callers?
It can be, if you value one monthly bill and a large combined allowance. Compare total monthly cost, not just the line rent.
