What happened to the Ghanta Offer
The rates in the table above show the Ghanta Offer exactly as Warid sold it. For a small daily rental you could talk for an hour to Warid numbers at a flat hourly rate, which made a lot of sense when per minute charging felt expensive. It was limited to Warid to Warid calls and to specific prepaid packages like Minute Package and the ZEM series.
That hourly pack is no longer available to buy. After Warid merged into Jazz in 2016, legacy Warid offers like Ghanta were retired and the old SMS codes to 3333 stopped activating new subscriptions. The history is useful if you are checking an old bill or comparing how pricing has changed, but you cannot renew Ghanta today. Any Warid number from that time now runs as a Jazz number.
What you get today instead
Most people who used Ghanta now use a weekly Jazz bundle instead of chasing an hourly rate. A weekly hybrid bundle gives you a set pool of minutes for the whole week, usually with other network minutes, SMS and data included, so a long call does not need perfect timing around an hour window. You can compare what is live right now in today’s Jazz call packages before you spend balance. Jazz on net minutes also work for old Warid numbers because they are Jazz numbers today.
Day to day checks are still quick codes. *111# shows balance, *117# shows remaining usage and MBs, and 111 is the Jazz helpline for both old Warid and Jazz numbers. The Jazz World app is better if you want to see expiry times clearly, since USSD menus can hide the validity date.
If you still use an old Warid SIM
Keep using the same SIM and number. Load Jazz balance on it, buy Jazz bundles and ignore any old Warid short codes you see in forwarded messages. Those codes belong to retired offers and will either fail or do nothing. If you are keeping the SIM as a second number for family calls, a weekly bundle from Jazz World is usually cheaper than paying the standard per minute rate. Check the app once a week and you will always know what is active.
Questions people still ask
Can I still subscribe to the Warid Ghanta Offer? No. Sending Gh to 3333 does not start the hourly offer any more. Pick a current Jazz weekly bundle if you need predictable call time.
Will my Warid number work with Jazz bundles? Yes. Your Warid SIM is a Jazz SIM after the merger, so Jazz bundles, Jazz balance check *111# and the Jazz World app all work on it.
Why does my balance finish quickly without Ghanta? Without a bundle, calls are charged at the standard rate. Add a weekly bundle with enough on net minutes and the per hour worry goes away.
A quick way to decide today
Ghanta worked because you planned calls around an hour. Weekly bundles work differently, you buy minutes once and use them any time. If you still make one long call every evening, add up those minutes for a week in Jazz World history and pick a bundle just above that total. Keep *117# on your home screen for the first week so you can see the pool going down. Once you know your real weekly minutes, renewing takes less than a minute in the app.
