Telenor Postpaid Packages 2026: Freedom and Smart Plans, Prices

Quick answer: Telenor’s cheapest postpaid plan is Freedom 500 at Rs. 600 a month, which gives you 5 GB of data, 3,000 Telenor minutes and 150 minutes to other networks. The Freedom line runs from Rs. 600 up to Freedom Gold Plus at Rs. 1,600 a month, while the older Smart plans run from Rs. 618 to Rs. 4,741 a month. These figures come from PTA’s official tariff file of 30 September 2026. Telenor’s own site blocks automated checking, so we could not cross-check these on telenor.com.pk, and you should confirm the line rent at the franchise before you sign up.

Postpaid makes sense for people who use a lot of data every month and want one fixed bill instead of recharging bundles again and again. This guide lists the Telenor postpaid plans, explains how line rent and deposits work, and gives an honest verdict on whether postpaid beats prepaid for you.

Telenor postpaid packages details

Line rent is the fixed monthly charge on postpaid. PTA’s file says it already includes all government taxes, which is the big difference from prepaid, where taxes are taken on top of every recharge. Anything you use beyond your plan is charged extra, plus tax.

Plan Monthly line rent Data Security deposit
Freedom 500 Rs. 600 5 GB, 3,000 Telenor mins, 150 off-net mins Rs. 1,200
Smart 300 Rs. 618 1 GB Rs. 1,200
Freedom Gold Rs. 1,000 30 GB confirm at counter
Freedom Gold Plus Rs. 1,600 100 GB confirm at counter
Smart 3000 Rs. 4,741 10 GB up to Rs. 6,500

Freedom vs Smart: which line should you pick

The Freedom plans are the better line, and it is not close. Freedom 500 at Rs. 600 is the cheapest postpaid plan of any network in Pakistan, and Freedom Gold gives you 30 GB for Rs. 1,000. The Smart plans give far less data for the money. Smart 300 costs Rs. 618 and gives only 1 GB, and Smart 3000 costs Rs. 4,741 for just 10 GB. If a Telenor shop offers you a Smart plan, ask for Freedom instead. The numbers come straight from PTA’s tariff file, so this is not a guess.

For heavy data users, Freedom Gold Plus at Rs. 1,600 for 100 GB works out to about Rs. 16 per GB. That is decent, though Ufone’s Prime Mega gives 200 GB at Rs. 1,700 a month, about Rs. 8.50 per GB, if data is all you care about. Compare the data side with the Telenor internet packages guide before you decide between postpaid and prepaid.

How to get a Telenor postpaid connection

Postpaid is not something you activate with a code. You have to visit a Telenor service centre or franchise. The steps are the same across networks.

  1. Pick a plan from the table above and note its security deposit.
  2. Take your original CNIC to the service centre or franchise.
  3. Give your fingerprints for biometric verification.
  4. Pay the refundable security deposit. The deposit amount varies by plan, from Rs. 1,200 on the entry plans up to Rs. 6,500 on Smart 3000.
  5. Ask for the plan by name and check the line rent on your first bill.

You can keep your current number by converting your prepaid SIM to postpaid on the same network, or port in a number from another network. If you use international roaming, Telenor lists a Rs. 15,000 roaming deposit, which is the same as Zong and Ufone. Jazz lists Rs. 5,000 for comparison.

What happens when you go over your plan

Data beyond your plan is charged per MB. PTA’s file lists Rs. 1.20 plus tax per MB on Telenor’s Freedom plans. At that rate, one extra GB costs more than Rs. 1,200, so the cheapest plan is not cheap if you often run out. If your usage regularly crosses your plan’s data, move to a bigger plan instead of paying overage. The Telenor device bundles page has the high-data prepaid options for comparison.

Honest verdict

Telenor postpaid is a good deal at the bottom and a bad deal at the top. Freedom 500 at Rs. 600 is the cheapest entry to postpaid in the country, and Freedom Gold at Rs. 1,000 for 30 GB is genuinely fair. The Smart line is poor value and you should avoid it. For very heavy data use, compare against Ufone’s postpaid and against Telenor’s own prepaid monthly bundles, because 100 GB for Rs. 1,600 can be beaten on other networks. And since Telenor’s own site would not load for a cross-check, treat every figure here as PTA’s official list and confirm the line rent at the counter before you sign. If you are switching from prepaid, the Telenor eSIM activation guide is worth a read too.
